That might well be true, but that’s not what she wants to hear. She wants to hear that you are interested in her as a person.
Despite our modern era of women’s liberation, by far the majority of women still like courteous men. Letting her walk into the elevator first, offering to carry her shopping bags or opening a door for her will in most cases not count against you. What will count against you is if your act of premeditated kindness is accompanied by a remark about women being the ‘weaker sex.’
You also have to learn how to talk to women in front of other people. They hate it if you make remarks about how pretty the neighbor’s wife looks in her bikini. So unless you want to spend the night in the dog box, keep the conversation away from the assets of other ladies in the room.
