Magic of Making Up
There are two words to describe T. W Jackson’s book, The Magic of Making Up and those are “unconventional” and “effective.” Unconventional because most of the ideas in the book go against the very grain of conventional though processes with regard to making up after a break up.
It is riddled with such approaches the effectiveness of which might be questioned by most conventionally thinking men and women. All the skepticism is washed away when one reads the testimonials that the book has been credited with. Those ideas that seem appallingly detrimental actually work to your benefit.
T.W Jackson, who calls himself T-dub and prefers others to do so too, uses a very honest approach when it comes to communicating his thoughts. The methods and solutions that he suggests cater to almost every issue that might arise in the aftermath of a break up. He warns the reader of possibly undesirable behavior that needs to be avoided when dealing with the ex and also suggests the strategy to be adopted in various scenarios to win an ex back.
Many readers might question his credentials as a counselor or a psychologist or a doctor or other related aspects that bear a correlation to what he has written. Let us get to know a bit more about the guy behind the book then shall we? Well T.W. isn’t a doctor or a psychologist but he definitely is a relationship Guru. His insights into how relationships work have all been gained from practical experience. As he himself says, it’s the wealth of real life knowledge that one acquires that matters and not hours of classroom study.
The book reads like a conversation between the author and the reader and is a page turner. The magic of making up reviews every different break up angle there ever was and suggests practical solutions to all of them. The reasoning behind the authors approach is that there is nothing inevitable about a break up and you could always get back with your ex if you stick to some basic counter intuitive strategies and don’t be overzealous and make the usual mistakes.
He gives examples of both men and woman who have been forgiving to their ex’s and willing to take them back even after multiple transgressions. The methods and ways of overcoming each break up are listed in a direct and interactive way which makes it a very good read.
The book dwells on the cardinal mistakes made by both men and woman in the initial phases of the break up and also is expansive enough to accommodate those that have gone beyond this point and worsened the situation. He talks about things like Text Messaging Terrorism, which involves the dumped partner sending text messages incessantly as well as drunken dialing which involves calling up your ex after getting drunk and making a fool out of yourself.

Warning Sign #2: Jealousy
Forget about the old fashion jealousy love that you need to be jealous to be wildly in love. But, let’s face it… LOVE IS NOT JEALOUS. It might feel flattering at first, but great jealousy is always a great problem.
If you have a jealous ex that gets all green-eyed even when you are with your friends, acquaintances or even family, your life will start to be meaningless, diminished. Then what is life then… A jealous lover is an angry lover.
If you think you can make him or her secure enough that your partner’s jealousy will subside, think again. Extreme jealousy, makes the other partner feel insecure, and it’s lethal for love.
Warning Sign #3: Unfaithfulness
Forget about your ex if he or she had been unfaithful to you. In fact, think twice if he is being unfaithful to someone else when he was with you, or if he was unfaithful to his previous partner - even if she forgave him! You may forgive… but you may never forget.
Stop blaming yourself if he cheated. It’s not you, it’s definitely him. The number one reason that faithful men do not cheat isn’t because it is greater love, but it is greater commitment and it is because “they promised”.
Ninety percent of American men say they believe affairs “are always or almost always wrong.” 1 in 4 do it silently anyway. Look out for one of the other three!

Warning Sign #4: Liars
If your ex lies to you, just forget about him or her. Sometimes it’s white lies to make others feel good (ie. thanks I love the sweater) or to make you feel good (ie. I’m a sensitive kind of guy).
Learn how to spot liars… it’s not easy. Be alert and if you feel that you partner seems to good to be true, probably he is.
Warning Sign #5: (Perpetually) Unemployed or needy
If your ex is a bump and gets fired from his job again and again. It’s not about the money but it’s about playing well with others. Probably he is having some bad luck. Of course, but could he be unappreciated time and again. And, most of the time, he is probably depressed, full of anger and low in self-esteem. I guess you could stick with him but you don’t really need a needy person, you know.
What I’m saying here is if you know your ex is needing help, money, support, encouragement ALL THE TIME, he or she is sucking your life away. He is too self-centered to be in a relationship in the first place. So, say your goodbyes and run.
Just think about it, no need to cry and whine for your ex back. He or she is not worth it if they fall in any of these categories.

The Magic Of Making Up Review: My Conclusion
Overall I think this book is quite good. The author writes in a style that is very easy to read and understanding of your situation. As for results to get your girlfriend back 100% of the time, I don’t know if it can guarantee you that. But you know what? What other things do you have to lose? Nothing! You may as well give it a shot!
Perhaps you may find it embarassing to get a guide to get your ex back, but what else do you have that will help you?
