Men’s Shorts - What Style Will You Be Wearing This Season?

The trends in men’s fashion usually won’t vary too wildly from year to year, at least not when you compare it to women’s fashion trends. That has changed for the summer 2011 season. At the fashion shows this year, the big designers revealed a considerable change with bold new looks in men’s shorts. The self assured man will most likely be the one to wear these looks right off the runway. Take a break, and read on to see what lies ahead for men’s fashion for the 2011 summer season.

The new lengths of this season’s shorts for men seem to be from one extreme, to the other. One style is a slim cut short, which is meant to come down around the knee area. The difference between this knee length, and those of the past, is that year it is a significant rolled, or cuffed hem. For a dressier look, the longer and slimmer cut can also be worn with a sports jacket, sweater, or vest worn over a dress shirt for the new season. The other length presents a little more daring look, coming in right above the mid-thigh area, and a boxer-like style. They were also shown with bold patterns.

The designers really stepped it up with the patterned materials of men’s shorts this year, with the most daring debuts in patterns men’s fashion has seen in years. The shorts both long and short, are parading bold larger checked blocks, flamboyant tropical prints, and yes, even brave new florals.

If the floral patterns and mid thigh lengths aren’t daring enough, the designers took it a step further with the male version of leggings, called meggings. These were designed to be worn underneath the various styles and designs of men’s shorts this season. The colors of the 2011 summer season make far less of a spirited statement than the patterns, or even the lengths. The various, yet muted shades of blue, red, green, and even pink were mixed with creams, beiges, and white.

To sum it up, the different lengths of men’s shorts, vary, but are not necessarily a big change. It’s more the patterns that are more daring, and will probably take a self-confidant man to wear them, such as the otherwise feminine floral pattern. If you are feeling real daring and want to go all out, put on a pair of meggings to wear under your shorts. One of the boldest season reveals, so have fun with it.

This apple-inspired fragrance is embellished by a harmony of other notes: Japanese osmanthus, Italian mandarin, magnolia, boronia, yellow freesia, musk and white iris. One perfume reviewer from fragrantica refers to Ralph as her sporty perfume. The fresh and clean smell is like you’ve just stepped out of the shower, she said. Ralph is not too sweet a fragrance. The light aroma of florals is well-blended – the perfect mix of spring and summer air.

This scent is a confectionary heaven as sweet-smelling gourmand notes bring out the luscious aroma of the sugar and spice. It’s reminiscent of Thierry Mugler’s Angel and Victor & Rolf’s Flower Bomb. It’s warm and comforting like a blanket of cotton candy.

Ralph Cool

Ralph Rocks

Ralph Rocks is sunshine in a bottle! This rebelliously sweet fragrance is packed with passion fruit accords and citrus floral cream. The gentle warmth of amber and sun-warm wood makes it wearable for the colder months of winter as well. One perfume enthusiast has this to say about Rocks,” I cannot name a fragrance that is this hip, daredevil-like, young and dynamic. Definitely a scent for in summer because of its citrus and fruity accords.”

Ralph Wild

Ralph Wild smells like Ralph doused with strawberry notes and cherry blossoms. The top notes greet you with a healthy dose of fruit-flavored sparkling water. The dry down combines jasmine, sandalwood and musk creating a warm, aromatic strawberry-filled air. It’s light, very girly and definitely an awesome summer scent.

Prada is one of the most highly regarded designer labels in the fashion industry. The brand is best-known for its minimalist theme using high-quality and expensive fabrics. Her style is to reinvent the traditional into something more fashionable. And she does this by focusing on the details. Imagine destructuring simple designs and decorate it with mink and silk trimmings. The same creativity and elaborate designs are transformed into fragrances. Prada’s perfume line is a collection of bold scents inspired by oriental spices, musky woods, succulent fruits and luminous florals. In 2003, Prada launched its first line of perfumes. The perfumes were exclusively available in Prada boutiques and selected department stores. It was in 2004 that the Prada perfume collection made its debut in larger markets.

Prada Eau de Parfum was the first perfume that debuted in 2004. This fragrance has an oriental base with a classic appeal of the past and the sophisticated beauty of the future. It’s a combination of four remarkable notes namely Indian sandalwood, Indonesian patchouli, French labdanum resin and Siam benzoin. Nuances of citrus, flowers, patchouli and vanilla complete this lovely fragrance. Prada Eau de Parfum is a crisp and well-designed floral. It holds a distinct comely aroma, rich and radiant, that wraps you in a blanket of feminine warmth.

Prada Intense, like the name suggests, is a concentrated version of the original. An eau de parfum fragrance is already intense as it is so expect Prada Intense as bolder, warmer and a lot sexier.

Prada Infusion d’Iris is a harmony of soft florals and Sicilian citron. The name Infusion d’Iris was derived from the six-month long traditional process of producing iris extract that involves soaking the iris to extract its notes. This fragrance is a quiet elegance of versatility. It’s fresh enough for summer but deep enough for the cooler days as well.

Prada Amber for Men is created with a rich base of amber mingled with three other accords: cologne, leather and fougere. Miuccia Prada personally designed this fragrance. She wanted a masculine fragrance that was gentle and devoid of aggressiveness. The result was a luxurious fragrance, masterfully crafted, emanating a refreshing soapiness, light and powdery. Paradoxically, this fragrance is complex yet smooth throughout. i think artistic is more appropriate.

Prada Tendre is a compelling blend of spice, citrus and fruit accords. This scent unfolds into a delicate, tender, floral and slightly woody ambiance. It’s perfect for a spring or early fall fragrance. With its unpretentious and distinctly feminine scent, Prada Tendre has become a favorite among young ladies.

Prada is elegance personified. It typifies an individual’s penchant for quality and luxury. While all good things in life come with a price tag, one should not scrimp on non-essentials when it’s available online via discount perfume sellers. Life is still good.

Review of Armani Code perfume for women

Armani Code is a fresh, sultry fragrance bursting with a healthy dose of orange-ginger notes that captivate and tickle the scent palate. Introduced in the spring of 2006, this lovely feminine scent has just the right amount of oomph that seduces with its unique floral-oriental combination. Armani Code radiant opening features zesty blood orange, ginger spice and pear sorbet. The heart, with all its subtlety and sweetness, brings out an air of fragrant florals of sambac jasmine. The base fades into a delicious trail of vanilla, lavender honey and precious woods complex.

Oranges fills the head notes giving the scent its citrusy aroma but after a while the orange blossoms fades and smoothly levels off with vanilla and honey. It’s powdery on the dry down but in an elegant kind of way. Armani Code is a borderline gourmand-floral scent. The scrumptious, milk-chocolate aroma is attributed to the warm honey’ed vanilla musk accords.

The distinct sweetness is reminiscent of Hugo Boss Deep Red, a similar fragrance that also falls under this fragrance category. The oriental base, on the other hand, is similar to the oriental sweetness of Sacre Bleu sans the maturity and smoky incense dry down. One perfume reviewer quipped,” I think that Code was an attempt to be all things to all people, and instead it is a little too sweet for mature women and a little too oriental for young women.” In addition, another perfume reviewer thought that despite Armani Code’s dignified feminine scent the fragrance typifies the usual mainstream floral based perfume: it could get pretty boring with constant use. Further, he commented, “Armani Code doesn’t offer adventure, but it smells lovely and pure. If this is Armani’s code, then I am all about him. Also, it is a much better creation then 90% of what the company has put out all these years. At least, it does not imitate anything out there - not all that much at the very least.”Armani Code doesn’t offer adventure, but it smells lovely and pure. Giorgio Armani’s fragrances like his fashion clothing line boast a collection of classic and luxe scents making the brand one of the most admired signature labels in the perfume industry.
